1In short

You delete your account yourself, in the app or in the web console. You do not need to write to us and you do not need to wait for approval.

  • Your account and your personal data are deleted immediately and permanently.
  • The records you entered stay with the organisation, but your name is replaced there by « Deleted account ».
  • Deleting your account does not delete the organisation while it still has other members. If you are its last member, it is scheduled for deletion at the same time, with the same 30-day grace period.
  • Cannot sign in at all any more? Write to contact@fugaji.com and we will do it for you.

2From the mobile app

On Android and on iOS:

  • Open the app and sign in.
  • Open Settings from the app menu.
  • Scroll down to « Delete my account ».
  • Read the summary of what will be deleted, then type the confirmation text you are asked for.
  • Confirm who you are: your password if your account has one, or the six-digit code sent to you if you sign in by phone.
  • Confirm. The account is deleted, you are signed out of every device, and the offline copy on the phone is erased.

You can then uninstall the app. Uninstalling it without going through these steps does not delete the account: it only erases what is on the phone.

3From the web console

  • Open app.fugaji.com and sign in.
  • Open your profile, at the top right.
  • Scroll down to the « Delete my account » section.
  • Type the confirmation text you are asked for, then your password or the six-digit code received by phone.
  • Confirm. All your sessions, on every device, are closed immediately.

4What is deleted

The following is erased from our servers, immediately and permanently:

  • your account and your identity: name, email address, phone number, profile photo;
  • the hash of your password and any pending sign-in codes;
  • all your open sessions, on every device;
  • your notification tokens, so that you receive no further notification;
  • your personal preferences: language, theme, display settings;
  • the pending invitations you had sent;
  • your roles and permissions in the organisation;
  • your co-ownership shares in a herd or an animal, and the tasks that were assigned to you;
  • the people you had blocked, and the blocks placed on you.

The local copy the app keeps on your phone is erased at the same time.

5What is kept, and why

What you entered inside an organisation does not disappear with your account: that information belongs to the organisation and serves as its register. A health book, a pedigree or a set of accounts cannot lose their pages because a team member leaves.

The following therefore stays in place, but detached from your identity — your name is replaced by « Deleted account » and the link to your account is broken:

  • the animal files and the health, treatment, vaccination, breeding, weighing, feeding, movement and production events you recorded;
  • tasks, comments and completion proofs;
  • messages sent to your colleagues and the photos attached to them;
  • shop listings and orders;
  • the organisation's administration log, whose entries no longer carry your identifier.

Two things are kept as they are: the accounting records of subscription payments, which accounting rules oblige us to retain for the period the law provides, and backup copies of the database, in which deleted data may survive until the backup concerned is replaced. Those backups serve only to restore the service after an incident.

6If you are the last administrator

An organisation cannot be left without an administrator. If you are the last administrator of an organisation that still has other members, deleting your account is refused and the app explains why. There are two ways forward:

Hand the organisation over
Open the team, give the administrator role to another member, then delete your account. The organisation carries on without you.
Delete the whole organisation
If the business is closing, delete the organisation: your account and those of the other members go with it.

If you are the only member of the organisation, nothing more is asked of you: deleting your account also schedules the organisation's deletion, which is disabled at once and erased after 30 days, exactly as a deliberate deletion would be.

7Deleting a whole organisation

This is reserved to an administrator of the organisation and is done from the web console, in the organisation settings. It asks you to type the exact name of the organisation, then your password.

A 30-day grace period applies. The organisation is disabled at once — nobody can sign in any more — and all of its data is then erased permanently at the end of the 30 days.

The following is then deleted:

  • the accounts of every member of the organisation;
  • farms, paddocks, herds, animals and their whole pedigree;
  • every register: health, treatments, vaccinations, breeding, weighings, production, feeding, movements and transactions;
  • tasks, comments and the work history;
  • conversations and messages;
  • listings, orders and stock movements;
  • reports and the documents produced;
  • connected devices, virtual fences, alerts and the history of collar positions;
  • photos, voice notes and uploaded files;
  • the subscription and the payment history, except the accounting records the law requires us to keep.

Export whatever you need before starting the deletion: after the 30 days nothing can be restored.

8Cancelling an organisation deletion

During the 30-day grace period an administrator can cancel the deletion and reactivate the organisation from the web console: sign in with your administrator account and the home screen offers to restore it. Everything becomes available again exactly as it was.

After that period the erasure is irreversible: we have no way left of recovering the data.

9If you can no longer sign in

First try « Forgot password » on app.fugaji.com, or the six-digit code sign-in if your account has a phone number. That is enough in most cases.

If it is not, write to contact@fugaji.com and include:

  • the subject « Account deletion »;
  • the email address or phone number of the account to delete;
  • the name of the organisation, if you know it.

Write from the address attached to the account where you can. We may ask for one further element to check that it really is you, so that nobody else can have your account deleted. We acknowledge receipt within 7 days and complete the deletion within 30 days at the latest.

10After deletion

There is no undo: a deleted account cannot be recovered. You may create a new one with the same address or number, but it will be an empty account, with no history and no automatic access to an organisation; you will have to be invited again.

A current subscription is not refunded pro rata because an individual account was deleted. To stop billing for an organisation, cancel or delete the organisation.
